Learning some Editing Tricks

Right now we are in the process of shooting lots of photos, and learning some editing using some really cool free editing sites that we found online.

Lucky for us, this seal was in the mood for some serious showing off.

This is the original picture taken from an iphone at the aquarium we visited last weekend.  We got so many great shots.

I held the camera right up to the glass to avoid any reflection which I ended up with anyway.  Ahhhh, you win some, you loose some.

CALI'S EDIT
This is Cali's first real oportunity to work on an editing website.  She could have gone for hours before settling for this edited version.  I say great job girlfriend.  Looks like poster material to me.

MOM'S EDIT

I went a little funky to show Cali some of the color and brightness options.  Okay, I had some fun too, even added a border.

These edits were done on www.picnik.com

Who's Blog Is This Anyway?

Cali has spent much of her afternoon talking about "her" blog.  I guess the title, somehow, made her my partner, and trust me, I was lucky to get in at all.

I am excited that she is excited.  We have talked a lot about what our blog should involve and, who will do what part of our new, shared hobby.  I love taking pitures and so does she.  I love to write, she does not.  She is good at it but to my sweet child having to write is like having to do twice as much homework.

So we have decided that we will both be allowed to take photos, I am honored.  Any writing that needs to occur will be done solely by mom.  Any non animal modeling that need to be done will be entirely her job.  There is no contract, but the agreement is pretty set in stone.

I look forward to learning animal photography with my daughter, and I look forward to learning more about photographing the human race as well.
